Corvettes, 911s, M-series cars, Mustangs, etc all also have decades of name recognition and fanbases. The F-Type has been around for 9 years currently and tried to bank on the E-Type which has been missing since the 70s. That was quite a gap to try and make up in the first place.
The Clarkson Review: Jaguar F-Pace. A sporty SUV for connoisseurs, but Jaguar is still stuck in the slow lane. By Jeremy Clarkson (Sunday Times, Oct. 16) Sometimes on a road I use regularly there’s a forlorn-looking man sitting in a lay-by surrounded by various toadstools and zoo animals he has carved from bits of worryingly orange wood.

However just looked up a Jaguar F type R MSRP $118,999. Then I saw a used 2022 porsche 911 Carrera with 907 miles going for $133,330. I understand that 15k is a lot of money but if I was in the market for another car I wouldn’t think twice about spending the money. I’d even go older or more miles to get the Porsche.
I’m looking at two F Type, 15 F Type R and a 16 F Type R. 15 has 93k miles and is VERY reasonable. 16 gas 61k miles and is just a bit on the high side. I can get a very good after market warranty for either car. Do I save 5-6k bucks and see how the F Type lives with 100k miles or play it a bit safer and go with the 61k and AWD?
As of MY2022, the I-Pace has switched from LG Chem to Samsung cells, gotten improved infotainment, and a new charging curve. Kris Rifa made a video showing off a MY2022 10-80% charge time of 42.5min with an average rate of 91.5kW due to a surprisingly flat charge curve.
